Harun Al Rashid is a Bangladeshi author. He has published three novels in Bengali: ‘Renur Abirbhab‘ [The Emergence of Renu], ‘Rudebish Shekaber Batikromi Jibon’ [The Outstanding Life of Rudebish Shekab], and OCD [obsessive-compulsive disorder]. He has also published a novel in English: ‘The Memoirs of an Unrequited Love’.
Harun Al Rashid is currently translating James Joyce’s ‘Ulysses’, one of the most challenging and inaccessible novels ever written, into Bengali. The Daily Jugantor, a Bangladeshi national daily, has already serialized the first nine chapters/episodes of his translation of Ulysses. He is inspired to produce the finest-ever foreign translation of Ulysses.
Harun Al Rashid is a diplomat and currently serves as the Ambassador-designate of Bangladesh to His Majesty King Mohammed VI of the Kingdom of Morocco.
